LEXINGTON, KY. (Oct. 16, 2025) – West Maxwell Street from Oliver Lewis Way to Plunkett Street will be milled and paved from Monday, Oct. 20 – Friday, Oct. 24. There will be alternating lane closures from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Access to homes and businesses will be maintained during paving. Street parking will be unavailable. Drivers are reminded to proceed slowly and watch for workers and pedestrians during road work.
This paving project follows a recently completed sanitary sewer project. The main sanitary sewer that runs down the middle of West Maxwell Street and the smaller lines that lead to homes and businesses in the neighborhood were replaced.
