LEXINGTON, KY. (July 14, 2025) – Contractors with Lexington’s Division of Water Quality will be working on West Main Street between Old Georgetown Street and Jefferson Street from Tuesday, July 15 – Friday, July 18 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. They will repair a sanitary sewer line and replace a manhole.
One lane of traffic will be closed at a time during sewer work. A section of the right outbound lane of Main Street will be closed to repair the sewer line. A section of the right inbound lane of Main Street will be closed to replace the manhole.
No detour is necessary because at least one lane of Main Street will be open in either direction. Drivers are reminded to slow down and watch for signage in construction areas.
