Shillito Park Road overnight closure extended
LEXINGTON, KY. (June 26, 2025) – Shillito Park Road will be closed from Reynolds Road to the Shillito Park pool from 9 p.m. on June 26 to 6 a.m. on June 27 for utility work.
Vehicles will be turned away from Shillito Park after 9 p.m. tonight. If visitors remain at the pickleball or tennis courts after 9 p.m., they must use the exit at the back of the park that leads to Retrac Road. Follow detour signage along Shillito Park Road to exit.
There will also be intermittent road closures from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. on June 26 and 27. Daytime visitors to Shillito Park are asked to drive slowly through construction areas. Flaggers will be present to help control traffic. Fifteen minute delays are expected.
This utility work is necessary for construction of the New Senior & Therapeutic Center. The center is expected to open in 2026.
