Governor’s Press Conference Notes: 170 New COVID-19 Cases in State

At Governor Andy Beshear’s daily press conference:
He signed a declaration that the Commonwealth is leaving the Federal Health Exchange and moving back to a State-Based Exchange in Healthcare. That change will happen by 2022.
He named Marta Miranda-Strawb the Director of Community Basked Services who will help coordinate efforts to Help Children and Families.
There were 170 New cases of Coronavirus in the Commonwealth today, bringing the total to 12,995 infected.
There have been 329,710 Kentuckians who have gotten tested for Coronavirus since testing started, of those, there have been 2,455 ever in the Hospital, there are 416  in now with COVID-19. There have ever been 971 in the ICU with COVID-19, there are 61 in now.
There are 3,444 Kentuckians to recover from COVID-19.
There were 6 new Deaths announced today, including a 90-year old female from Fayette County.
Testing is still available at the Kroger Drive-Through Testing sites in Fayette County, Jefferson County through Friday and in Oldham and Warren Counties through tomorrow.
Next week, the sites will stay in Fayette, Jefferson and Warren counties and start in Shelby County.  Go to KrogerHealth.com/CovidTesting to register.
