Our Friday, May 15th Hometown Heroes – The Kentucky Castle, along with owners Brian and Miranda Adkins and Matthew Dawson! Brought to you by @republicbank and @clarkspumpnshop

The Kentucky Castle is committed to honoring the work of those who are sacrificing their own health to serve their neighbors and fight the coronavirus.  Once the restaurant was closed to support social distancing measures, the Castle went to work serving food to those on the front lines.  Once we began delivering meals to a local hospital, the Castle was extremely fortunate to gather the generous support of John Schnatter and Coach John Calipari to expand the initiative.  We are now proud to be serving 200 delicious Kentucky Castle meals each day to front line personnel, with deliveries to multiple hospitals, Veteran’s Administration Medical Centers, and EMS and police stations.  We want the nurses, paramedics, providers, respiratory therapists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, doctors, firemen, police officers, custodians, and all other folks fighting the coronavirus to have the energy and comfort of good nutrition.
The Kentucky Castle also has partnered with the Superhero Mask Project, a local grassroots volunteer initiative, working to make sure that all medical providers fighting the coronavirus have a mask to protect them. With over 600 members now making masks, the Superhero Mask Project is sending masks to hospitals all over Kentucky, and to our friends in other states facing crisis situations fighting the pandemic.
