At Governor Andy Beshear’s daily Press Conference on the Coronavirus, he said that we had announced 252 new COVID-19 cases in the Commonwealth, bringing the total in the Commonwealth to 7,444 Kentuckians infected. It included 66 new cases in Fayette County and 1 more in each Madison and Scott Counties.
There have been 127,689 Kentuckians tested for Coronavirus, of those 1,896 have ever been in the Hospital with COVID-19, there are now 381 in the Hospital. There have been 797 Kentuckians ever in the ICU with COVID-19, there are 218 in now.
There have been 2,739 Kentuckians that have recovered.
No press conferences for Saturday and Sunday this weekend. There will be a video released with tomorrow’s numbers and the Sunday numbers will be delivered along with Monday’s numbers.
The State is reopening Tourism on June 1st with State Resort Parks opening for Lodging, Cabins, Golf, and Camping (Camping will restart on June 11th.) Playgrounds and Pools at the State Resort Parks will stay closed. Natural Bridge State Park and Cumberland Falls State Park will reopen June 1st, observing Social Distancing regulations. The Kentucky Horse Park and Otter Creek State Resort Parks will open on June 11th. Fishing Tournaments may commence on June 1st. Salato Wildlife Center will open June 1st with no interactive displays.
There is new guidance for reopening Massage Therapy and Nail Salons.
Aquatic Centers, (NOT Swimming Pools) will reopen on June 1st.
Auto and Dirt Track racing will restart on June 1st and Bowling Alleys and Fitness Centers will open June 1st, observing social distancing measures.
